The Taiwan Bowl and Dish Museum is the only one of its kind in Taiwan and in the world, dedicated to the theme of bowls and dishes

Established in 2011, the founder of the museum spent many years on researching and collecting more than 30,000 pieces of bowls, ceramics, and related artworks from Taiwan and around the world. It was said that “Happiness shared is doubled”. Thus, the museum shares its collections of bowls and artworks with the public via the exhibitions of the museum.

Bowls and dishes are important utensils for people which are closely related to people with cultural significance. The creation of bowls and the culture and aesthetics in life are waiting to be discovered in corners of the museum.

By adopting the concepts of eco-museum and community museum, the Taiwan Bowl and Dish Museum preserves the ethnic culture and regional characteristics of Taiwan’s traditional rural society which has been developed in a long period against the affections of the global industrialization and urbanization.
