This bowl was produced in Yingge during 1945-1964 and made of pottery. Both the inside and outside of the bowl are coated with light green glaze, with plum blossom pattern hand-painted in rouge-red and black glaze embellishing the flower centers. The plum buds and sturdy branches are outlined and decorated with red and brown glaze. The inside of the bowl is decorated with white glaze, presenting an overall elegant and rustic style.

The plum blossom pattern is auspicious and the rouge-red color beautifully presents the gradual change of the petals, fully expressing the aesthetic concept of our ancestors and showcasing the warm and simple folk customs. It is a representative pattern commonly used in Yingge.
